In accord with Peter’s wishes, a fellowship in new media has been established in his memory. It will support PhD students pursuing cross-disciplinary esearch involving new media, children, and K-12 education. It will be open to School of Information students, but also students in other disciplines. Peter actively mentored students from a variety of disciplines, so this fellowship will carry on his work.
Contributions to the newly established Peter Lyman Graduate Fellowship in New Media can be made to the UC Berkeley Foundation for the Peter Lyman Graduate Fellowship, at the UC Berkeley Center for New Media, 390 Wurster Hall #1066, UC Berkeley, Berkeley, CA, 94720.
The university will match contributions by active or retired faculty or staff, by students, and by the surviving spouses or partners of faculty and staff.
All contributions are tax-deductible, as far as I can tell.
