Interviewing

LG: Now, to change the subject a little bit… what in your opinion is the meaning of life in relation to death?

We spend a lot of time talking about how to do qualitative research, especially how to do interviews. But of course non-scholars are doing this all the time.

I just thought these interviews were interesting — part of a project where a photographer, Lonnie Graham, took pictures of and did interviews with people on the street in SF. No human subjects review. No question of confidentiality.

The photos are on display at SF City Hall till July 31. Haven’t seen them yet — I do plan to go.
